Taj Mahal

Gateway of India Mumbai

The Gateway of India Mumbai is built from yellow Kharodi basalt and reinforced concrete. The central dome is 48 feet in diameter and 83 feet above ground at its highest point. The construction was completed in 1924, and the Gateway was opened on December 4, 1924 by the Viceroy.

Jaipur

Jaipur known as the pink city of India is a land of culture, traditions and a very sound history. Maharaja Jai Singh founded Jaipur city and ruled from 1699-1744. Jaipur is also known as the land of Forts and Palaces. A Bengali artist Vidyadhar Bhattacharya designed the city.

Delhi

Thar Desert

Thar Desert is located in Western India and South Eastern Pakistan. The landforms of Thar Desert are divided into three major regions - Sand Covered Thar, Plains and Hills. The Great Thar Desert spreads across the state of Rajasthan and parts of Gujarat in western India. Covering about 2,59,000sq km, the desert is interspersed with hillocks, gravel, salt marshes and some lakes.
